Eyes
So, I need a cheap but non-sketchy eye exam, and cheap but non-sketchy glasses. (Glaucoma testing is needed as part of the exam, as it runs in the family; I don't know if every place offers this.) I live near Lloyd Center. Recommendations?

Sorry, they don't like adult shops or hipster indie ironic house shows. What else is there to do in Portland today? No outside activities obvs.

Is it a requirement that people become angsty, trendy/counter-trendy, pseudo-political activitist douche bags with a militant alternative diet and preferred method of locomotive arrogance when they move to Portland, or is it just a learned trait?

Not even the gays are as flamingly happy as they once were in this place.

What the fuck happened to my happy-go-lucky Portland?

This is what I've been doing in lieu of rewriting my thesis conclusion:

Started this morning )

Finished last night )

I really need to join a "Second Sock Syndrome Sufferers Anonymous" group. Hey, 6 pair finished out of 10 isn't bad, right?

ETA: Pattern names. Sorry for not catching it right off!

Has anyone seen Jennifer's Body yet? Its a great film anyway, but there are some fantastic knits in it!
In particular, theres one scene where Needy wears a chunky, cropped two-tone cardigan in blu and cream: its a bit 80s but i totally loved it and want to re-create it... but i'm struggling to find any screen shots to think up a suitable pattern.

Does anyone else know what i'm on about? Am i the only one raving over the knits in this film? Am I just a knitting nutter?

I know DP has some tech powers out there. So this is my quest, a quest to end my computer born stress.

Recently I have been having issues with "Autorun.ini" files on my external drives. Primarily linked to Rundll32.dll.exe . This is my culprit I believe. For the most part it was just very suspicious errors. Until tonight. First my web cam started turning on and off, then my cdrom drive opened and closed on its own. This all freaked me out.... the computer crashes..... GREAT.

I reboot. It starts happening again, but the cam stays on and I get an alert "Damn you look sexy on cam" Mind you this is a windows system alert. So Im like.... yep hacked. All of a sudden an ie based "Ghost Chat" pops up. I ended up finding out in C:\windows\system32\rundll32\rundll32.dll.exe there was a file called logs.dat and it was a keylogger file. I found a way to stop it for now, but I want rid of it completely, any ideas?

Claudia's party had low attendance (3), but sales were good. Got 1 catalog party out of it. I have a feeling the rest of the year will be slow because of the Holidays, but hopefully I can go full blast come January. Still hoping for some leads at the bazaar next weekend.

Sooo looking forward to my warm bed tonight!

Sorry if this has been asked recently... where do you guys get your kid's hair cut? i've done it myself the first several times (with only a few mistakes) but now my toddler is ready for something serious. Any places you'd recommend in the Beaverton/Hillsboro/West where ever area? My own stylist says she does kid's hair but i'm thinking maybe a place geared towards little children might be better. Oh, and any places to avoid??
